Project Schedule
1st Semester:
Research – It will be an ongoing task throughout the project. As there are a lot of
existing service which is providing all over the world, in the first stage of
researching, the range will be more wider that cover most of the electronic
device rental service.
Writing – Start writing the first proposal that will be going to achieve, which is
laptop rental service.
Data Collection – Set some questionnaire for the target market to find out what’s
important to them. Collect the questionnaire which have distribute in the
previous stage, and work out the analysis.
Drawing – As there are a target market have been set, scenarios and persona
have to be develop. According to the above, storyboard have to be draw.
Throughout the process of drawing, try finding out bit and pieces that have left
and start to join them up.
1st Interview – As I have planed how the service work, but it is still in a beginning
stage. It is necessary to talk with some expert and existing service provider, so as
to refine my own proposal.
Material Collection ‐ As the project needed a few existing laptop models, the
connection between the University and the suppliers have to be building up
through e‐mail, discussion to work out the best way.
Phase 1 (Validation)– Get the Service started. First of all, description and
Validation of the Service providing across the University. Set the Commences and
Concluded date. As it is a description process, it will including workshop for the
service user.
Phase 1 (Performance Evaluation) – Finding out the service performance
through the overall structure. Analyses how effective and efficient is the current
approach. Finding out the key opportunities for improvement.
Writing – Refine the proposal and develop the infrastructures, human resources,
planning, service, process and procedures.
2nd Interview ‐ Conduct an analysis through interview with the service user. And
back to the existing service provider for comment, finding out the key point of
refining the service model.
Phase 2 (Design) – Design of a new laptop service model, which included
according 2nd Interview’s comment, checking the key problem to refine.
Writing – Refine once again after the conducting the comment from the expert.
Drawing – Base on the 1st storyboard, editing it after all the refinement.
2nd Semester:
Phase 3(Validation): Get the service started in the beginning of the semester. The
description and Validation of the Service providing across the University. Set the
Commences and Concluded date. As it is a description process, it will including
workshop for the service user.
Phase 3 (Performance Evaluation) – Finding out the service performance
through the overall structure. Analyses how effective and efficient is the current
approach. Finding out the key opportunities for improvement.
Final Analysis – Collecting data through the service user experience, finding out
their needs, and ask if the improvement that have been make in the 2nd phase is
work well or not.
Final Interview – Discussing with the expert and existing service provider once
again to work out all the best decision could be make
Final Writing – After the whole year, conduct a proposal for the University,
finding out could it be apply the service. It hopefully could apply it, maybe start
off with a small scale, keep on refine, and expand to a large scale of service
supplier within the University.
